How long is the walk from Little Mermaid rooms to food court?

It's a pretty good trek. It is a very scenic walk but if you have small children or someone that can not walk far distances, a stroller or wheel chair would be my recommendation. Thankfully we had a scooter already on order for my mom. Give yourselves at least 7-10 minutes to walk from your room to the bus or café.



The walk from the Little Mermaid section of Disney's Art of Animation Resort to the Landscape of Flavors food court (located in Animation Hall) is one of the longest treks at any Walt Disney World "Value" resort. Depending on your specific building (7, 8, or 9) and your walking pace, the stroll typically takes between 8 to 12 minutes. The distance is roughly a quarter-mile to a third-mile long. While the path is paved and scenic—winding past the massive Lion King and Finding Nemo courtyards—it can feel quite taxing after a long day in the theme parks. In 2026, many families choose to use the Disney Skyliner station located at the Generation Gap bridge (roughly a 6–10 minute walk from the rooms) as an alternative route, but for food and the main bus stop, the walk to Animation Hall remains a daily necessity for guests staying in this budget-friendly, character-themed section.

Luckily, one of the entry stations to the Disney Skyliner is located right next to the resort. My guess is that no matter where you stay at Art of Animation, you have less than a 5-minute walk to the boarding area!

Adjoining rooms are available in all of the buildings. Connecting rooms (rooms with a door that connect two rooms to each other) are only available in the Little Mermaid buildings, but not in any of the family suite buildings (Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo).

Are there long lines to board Skyliner? During the morning and evening rush lines can be as long as 15 to 20 minutes at the Caribbean Beach station. Transportation at Walt Disney World whether you're waiting for a bus, monorail, boat or gondola, will usually be about 20 minutes when the parks are opening and closing.
