The MV PT Barnum was built in 1999 by Eastern Shipbuilding Group Panama City, Florida. It is 300 feet (91 m) long and 52 feet (16 m) wide, and is named after the ferry company's co-founder, Bridgeport circus impresario PT Barnum. She is capable of carrying 120 cars and was constructed at a cost of $12 million.
