Catering for up to 18 million passengers a year, the concourse has 32 gates all able to accommodate a wide variety of aircraft, including four contact gates for Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-800 aircraft. Terminal 3 consists of three concourses (A-Gates, B-Gates and C-Gates) which are used exclusively by Emirates and Qantas. Terminal 1 Concourse D (D-Gates) is home to many of DXB's international airlines while Terminal 2 (F Gates) also provides access to regional and international flights.
Transfer between terminalsYou can easily walk between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 when transferring between flights. It shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, and there are travelators and escalators along the way.

You'll be perfectly fine finding your way around Dubai airport, everythings written in English & its easy to navigate. It does get busy & crowded late at night & overnight when many flights arrive/depart, but wander away from the main central shopping area, its normally easy to find somewhere quiet to sit.

The gate for the flight can change on the day, so that's why you didn't get the gate number on your boarding pass. So just check the departure board to find the gate for your flight and head on down there. No need for any additional check-in.
