Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in the Bahamas, has a maximum daily capacity of approximately 13,000 guests. This capacity was significantly expanded following a $250 million renovation that added a massive pier capable of docking two "Oasis-class" ships—the largest cruise ships in the world—simultaneously. On days when two such ships are in port, the island can feel quite busy, though it is designed with multiple distinct zones (like Thrill Waterpark, Chill Island, and the Coco Beach Club) to disperse the crowds effectively. The island features the tallest waterslide in North America and the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, designed to accommodate thousands of swimmers at once. While 13,000 is the technical peak, the average daily attendance is often closer to 6,000 to 9,000, depending on the ship schedule. To ensure a good experience, the island employs a staff of over 400 "islanders" who live on-site to maintain the facilities and manage the logistical flow of the thousands of vacationers arriving each morning.
