Riding attractions during the race Something fun about the longer distance runs is the parks may open while you are running through them. This may be the case if you start out in a later corral. If this happens, you are allowed to get on an attraction and ride it, which is pretty cool!

Eligibility
  1. All participants for a 5K distance must be at least 5 years of age or older on race day to participate and must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
  2. Participants for a 10K distance must be 10 years of age or older.
  3. Participants for a half marathon must be 14 years of age or older.

Anyone not able to maintain the pace may be picked up and transported to the Family Reunion Area at any point along the course. Is this race walker-friendly? Love the Disney Marathon It really is an awesome race. I have also learned that you don't need to get there as early as they say you do. I typically get there 1 hour before the race starts and then I walk to the start. There are so many rolling starts that sometimes I get into a different corral, but it is fine.
