How many SkyMiles do you need for lounge access?

Those with Delta elite status can buy an annual membership to access Delta Sky Clubs. A standard membership costs $695 (or 69,500 miles) and lets you enter a Sky Club lounge every time you fly Delta. You can bring up to two guests for an extra $50 per guest (or 5,000 miles) per visit.

You cannot technically use SkyMiles to "buy" a single entry to the Delta Sky Club in 2026; instead, access is primarily granted through membership or premium credit cards. However, if you are a Delta Medallion member (Silver or higher), you can use SkyMiles to purchase an Annual Executive Membership (approx. 149,500 miles) or an Individual Membership (approx. 69,500 miles). For a one-time visit, if you already have access via a card like the Amex Platinum or Delta Reserve but have exhausted your annual allotment of "visit days" (which is currently 10 or 15 days per year), you can often pay a $50 fee per visit, but this cannot be paid with miles. The only way to get "free" access using miles in 2026 is by booking an International Delta One award ticket, which includes lounge access as part of the ticket's value. Essentially, SkyMiles are a tool for buying a year-long pass rather than a "currency" for a quick one-off visit at the front desk.
