How much do vaporetto tickets cost?

A single vaporetto ticket costs about 7 euros and is valid for 75 minutes, children under six travel free and people with reduced mobility get discounts. However, if you are going to use the vaporetto all day to get around the city it pays to get a day pass.

As of early 2026, the cost of a single "75-minute" vaporetto (water bus) ticket in Venice is €9.50. This ticket allows you to travel on almost any ACTV water bus line for 75 minutes from the time of first validation, including transfers, though it excludes routes to and from Marco Polo Airport. Because single tickets are quite expensive, most tourists opt for "ACTV Time-Limited Travel Cards." A 24-hour pass costs €25, a 2-day (48-hour) pass is €35, a 3-day (72-hour) pass is €45, and a 7-day pass is €65. For younger travelers aged 6 to 29, the "Rolling Venice" card offers a significantly discounted 3-day pass for approximately €27 (including the cost of the card). Children under the age of 6 travel for free. These passes are highly recommended as they provide unlimited use of vaporetti, as well as the buses and trams in Mestre and Marghera, making them the most cost-effective way to navigate the canals and reach islands like Murano, Burano, and Torcello.
