How much does it cost to enter the Botanical gardens in Funchal?

The entrance fee is €10 per person and children under 15 are free. There are several ways of getting to these gardens. The most popular are by cable car which can be found on the east side of Funchal where the “Old Town” is. One can purchase a return ticket together with an entrance ticket to the garden for €22.

Really worthwhile doing this ! The gardens were wonderful and as we moved around we sat here and there walking up the hillside and looking over to Monte and down to Funchal. Splendid views. We enjoyed every area of the garden and looked down on the iconic patchwork of foliage plants that is seen so often on postcards .

From Monte to Funchal, you pay € 20,00. Between the start of the toboggan and the endpoint, you pay € 10,00. From the endpoint to Funchal, it's also € 10,00. If you decide to walk back to Funchal, it will take around 15 minutes, and it's all downhill.
