How scary is the Guardians of the Galaxy ride drop?
It is a bouncing that does bring you out of your seat as you drop (lap belts should be tightened to help minimize this movement). Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout is absolutely a scary ride and just may be too scary for some kids.

The ride has no straight drops, but there are some areas where the track is curved so you're turning down (while the seat rotates keeping you facing the same way). It does not go upside down.

By some measures, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is on the “more intense” end of the Walt Disney World roller coaster spectrum, but it's not intense by real world roller coaster standards. Nor is it uncomfortable or unpleasant at any point.
If you are prone to sickness, eating something small before riding, and requesting a seat toward the middle (specifically rows 5 and 6) could be helpful. At the end of the day, you know your body best and what is most likely to make you feel sick or get queasy.
Riders on Cosmic Rewind who experience motion sickness report either nausea or vertigo (or both). Even if you don't feel like throwing up, you may find that the world is spinning a bit when you get off.
Ride warningsLike most roller coasters and thrill rides, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind does have warnings posted at the ride's entrance and before you board. This advises that you should be in good health free from high blood pressure, back and neck issues, heart issues, and more.
Which seats are the best? If you're concerned about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind being too intense, request one of the first two rows. That's the least thrilling and jarring. If you want the best seat from a storytelling perspective, anywhere in the middle is going to be ideal.
It is fairly fast-paced but if you have been able to tackle any of the other Walt Disney World Resort thrill rides (like Space Mountain or Expedition Everest), you should have no problem helping the Guardians save the day!

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic RewindThe photo on this ride occurs toward the beginning of the ride. It happens after the reverse launch, as you begin to spin back around to face forward. If you look up and to the right slightly, you will see several suns. You will notice a flash as they snap your photo!

Guests are limited to one ride per day on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind using the Virtual Queue during regular park hours. This allows as many people as possible an opportunity to ride. However, it is possible to get into the Virtual Queue and also buy an Individual Lightning Lane to ride a second time.
During the Halloween season, Disney will transform Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. Guests who wish to ride the original version will have to do so before 2 p.m.
