Here are the best ways to transfer between NAIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 3:

Official NAIA Shuttle Bus (FREE & Recommended)

  • Where to find it: Look for the “NAIA Shuttle” sign. At T1, the pickup is outside Arrivals. At T3, it’s at the Transportation Hub (near the airport taxi stands).
  • Schedule: Runs 24/7, but frequency varies.
    • Peak Hours (6:00 AM - 9:00 PM): Every 15-20 minutes.
    • Off-Peak (9:00 PM - 6:00 AM): Every 30-40 minutes.
  • Travel Time: 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Process: Show your boarding pass (for your next flight) to the attendant. They prioritize passengers with connecting flights.

By Taxi

  • Airport Yellow Taxi: Metered, but has a flag-down rate and higher per-kilometer fare. Most reliable and comfortable. Expect to pay ₱300 - ₱500+ depending on traffic.
  • Regular White Taxi: Cheaper meter rates, but can be harder to find and some drivers may refuse short trips. Insist on using the meter.
  • Ride-Hailing Apps (Grab): The most convenient and transparent option. Book via the Grab app. Pickup points are at designated areas (same as shuttles). Usually costs ₱250 - ₱400.
