How would one escape a capsized cruise ship?

Put on your PFD and get to the surface. You may have to go down into the water to reach a place from which you can get off the ship and into the water. You best bet would be to get your PFD on early and stay on deck, so that you can get off easily, and hopefully, into a liferaft or lifeboat.
