Is FastPass still at Disneyland?

The Disney FastPass System was fantastic and one I enjoyed every time we used it at Walt Disney World Resort! Unfortunately, the Disney FastPass System was discontinued in the fall of 2021. Not to worry, there is a replacement that is easy to maneuver once you get the hang of it.

Although many hoped FastPass would make a speedy return, guests instead waited more than a year for the newest iteration of FastPass to launch. Dubbed Genie+, the service officially went live on Oct. 19, 2021, at Walt Disney World. It's now available to guests at both Disney World and Disneyland.

Disney Genie+ is the paid version of the free Disney Genie planning service. It is very similar to FastPass+ in that you can skip the line at select attractions. What does Disney Genie do? Disney Genie is a free service inside the Disney app.

Digital FastPasses are free and included with every Disneyland ticket. MaxPass costs $20 per person per day and is a completely optional service. MaxPass allows you to schedule your FastPasses via the Disneyland app.

Underneath that you'll see LL Disney Genie+ Not Currently Offered. This means that all of the available Lightning Lanes have been booked. Now, it is possible that a few will become available as guests' plans change and they cancel Lightning Lanes, but getting one of those takes a lot of luck and pixie dust.

This doesn't necessarily mean you'll get to the very front of the line, but it does mean you'll bypass the entirety of the standby line. While you'll still need to wait behind other Lightning Lane guests, this can overall save you hours on wait times and allow you to squeeze more attractions into a single day.

In the past, Disney offered a free FastPass option to skip the line at select rides by making an advance reservation with your park ticket. However, that option has been retired and replaced with paid Lightning Lane and Genie+ add-ons that work through a phone app.

On the Disney Genie+ Service webpage that I linked, it does indicate that on average guests experience about two to three attractions per day with Lightening Lanes using Disney Genie+ Service. However, this is an average, and as long as you stay within the guidelines I mentioned above, you are good to go!

Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and Lightning Lane as we know them are coming to an end. Walt Disney World Resort dropped several massive announcements on Monday afternoon as a part of its plan for 2024.

Disney Premier Access (the FASTPASS system at Disneyland Paris) costs between €5 and €15 for one-time access to skip the line at select attractions. If you'd like access to all the lanes, there is an “ultimate” option for between €90 and €150, depending on the day.

Wait Time At The Disneyland Paris Your wait time at the attraction can vary depending on the ride that you choose to go for on your visit. Some can have a very long wait time, close to 45 mins to an hour, whereas some may vary from 30 – 45 mins.
