Is food included in Disney College Program?

If you don't already know how to cook, it would be a good idea to learn before you arrive. Unlike college, the DCP does not offer meal plans and eating out will get very expensive. If you plan to live in housing, you should be aware there are very strict rules.

No, food is generally not included in the Disney College Program (DCP) as part of the housing or program fees. Participants are responsible for their own grocery shopping and meal preparation. The DCP housing complexes, such as Flamingo Crossings Village, feature full kitchens in every apartment specifically so that students can cook their own meals, which is a much more cost-effective option than eating out in Orlando. While at work, participants are responsible for purchasing their own meals, though they do receive a standard "Cast Member" discount at many Disney-owned quick-service and table-service locations within the parks and resorts. Some roles may provide a free meal if working a specific holiday or extreme overtime, but this is an exception rather than the rule. Because the program operates more like a professional internship or a "real-world" job, participants must manage their weekly budget to cover all personal expenses, including food, transportation, and entertainment.
