Is Haunted Mansion closing at Disneyland?

Disney's latest announcement states that Disneyland Park will improve next year. At some point in 2024, Haunted Mansion at New Orleans Square will close indefinitely as Imagineers add to this section. Specifically, Disney will expand the Haunted Mansion campus so that it can enrich the lore surrounding this attraction.



In early 2026, the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland in California is open to guests. The attraction previously underwent a long-term closure throughout 2024 and much of 2025 to accommodate a major expansion of its outdoor queue area, which now includes a brand-new gift shop ("Madame Leota’s Barn") and themed gardens. While the ride occasionally closes for short routine maintenance or for its annual "Haunted Mansion Holiday" transformation (usually from late August through early January), there are currently no permanent closure plans. In fact, following the recent reopening, the attraction features several updated interior effects and a significantly improved entrance experience that integrates more of the mansion's lore into the wait time.
