Is it worth going to Disney in Japan?

So should I visit Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea? If you can, both Disney parks are definitely worth visiting, despite having different rides and attractions. But if you really had to pick one, go for your preference. For the classic Disney theme park experience, Disneyland is for you.

Families with younger children might prefer Tokyo Disneyland, while those with older children or teenagers might prefer Tokyo Disney Sea or Universal Studios Japan. Harry Potter fans should not miss Universal Studios Japan, while Disney fans will love Tokyo Disney.

If you are visiting from outside the country and have an interest in experiencing the park to its fullest, I highly recommend, at the very least, two days in the park. And don't forget, there is also DisneySea next door, which would require at least another two days. The four-day pass now starts to make sense.

Its sister park is Tokyo DisneySea, our personal favourite as it's unlike other Disney parks and is a little quieter and more adult-orientated. Tokyo Disneyland is still a fantastic day out and ideally, you'd spent a day at each park. I don't recommend trying to visit both parks in one day.

Japan is a beautiful country, so we totally understand if a day is all you allocate to Tokyo DisneySea!

Do they speak English at Tokyo Disneyland? Yes, they do speak English here. Cast members and park staff talk in English and other languages. However, do note that the English-speaking members aren't always available.

The “Language Barrier” As to be expected in a country that is not your own, most Tokyo Disney cast members will not fluently speak your native language. But, most will know enough to help you with whatever you need.

Even if you've been to another Universal Park in the world, it's still worth considering going to USJ! While they have some of the same main attractions as other parks like Jurassic Park and Harry Potter, they also have some unique attractions!

So if you have the choice I think Tokyo is the better choice. Have been to both and Tokyo is definitely better. It is a lot bigger than HK so has more rides and attractions. It also has Disney Sea, which is unique to Tokyo and definitely a must see.

Sure you can. In big cities and at major landmarks and popular tourist sights, you'll be just fine most of the time. Of course, once you get off the beaten path a bit, things will get a little more challenging.

The biggest difference that you'll likely find in Tokyo Disney Resort is the style of fandom. Guests obviously love attractions and shows, just like most of us, but there is an emphasis on characters.
