Is Kings Island cash only?

At Kings Island, we want you to have an AMAZING time with your friends and family. That's why we've moved to all cashless payments throughout the park. Simply swipe or tap your credit card, debit card or smart device with Apple Pay or Google Pay where you would normally use cash. It's faster, safer and always secure.

No, Kings Island is completely cashless in 2026. Following a trend across all Six Flags and Cedar Fair properties, the park no longer accepts physical cash for any transactions inside the gates, including dining, merchandise, and games. You must use a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you arrive at the park with only cash, you can use one of the many "Cash-to-Card" kiosks located near the entrance and throughout the park. These kiosks allow you to deposit your cash onto a prepaid Visa debit card for free (there are no transaction fees). This card can then be used anywhere in the park—and anywhere else outside the park that accepts Visa. This system was implemented to speed up transaction times and improve security, so make sure your digital wallet is set up or you are prepared to use a kiosk upon arrival to ensure a smooth day of riding.
