Is my Disney deposit refundable?

When booking a vacation package that includes tickets and a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Guests will pay a small deposit to secure the reservation. Guests can cancel this vacation package 30 days or more prior to the arrival date and will receive a full refund (including the deposit) without penalty.

For 2026, Disney’s refund policy depends on the type of reservation you have. For "Room Only" reservations at Walt Disney World, you can typically receive a full refund of your deposit if you cancel at least 8 days prior to your arrival. If you cancel within the 7-day window, you usually forfeit the deposit (equal to one night’s room rate). For Vacation Packages (room plus tickets), the rules are stricter: you generally get a full refund if you cancel 30 days or more before arrival. If you cancel between 2 and 29 days out, you will be refunded minus a $200 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival are usually entirely non-refundable. At Disneyland (California), there is often a 24-hour grace period for bookings made at least 72 hours in advance. Always check your specific confirmation email, as "Limited Time Offers" or "Non-Refundable Fares" may have different, more restrictive terms than the standard 2026 policy.
