Is Park Hopper worth it at Disneyland?

Multi-day tickets are the way to go when saving at Disneyland. So at Disneyland Resort, adding Park Hopper to any multi-day ticket costs less per day than a 1-Day ticket. If you have a longer trip, park hoppers may be worth the extra cost.

In 2026, the Park Hopper remains one of the most highly recommended upgrades at Disneyland Resort, primarily because the two parks—Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure—are literally 60 seconds apart on foot. Unlike at Walt Disney World, where "hopping" requires buses or monorails, at Disneyland you simply walk across the Esplanade. This proximity makes it "worth it" for those wanting maximum flexibility: you can start your day at Disneyland, "hop" over to California Adventure for a cocktail and lunch at Avengers Campus after 11:00 AM, and head back for fireworks at night. For a 1-day ticket, the $65 to $75 surcharge can be steep, but for multi-day tickets, the cost per day drops significantly. It is especially valuable if one park closes early for a private event or if you find one park unexpectedly crowded, allowing you to "pivot" your itinerary instantly to maximize your Genie+ (or Lightning Lane) selections across both gates.
