Is Poland expensive for food?

Food is extremely cheap in Poland. Today in a popular discount chain I saw chicken legs for 3,60 PLN or so (less than $1) per kg. Of course food of higher quality is more expensive. Anyway, a loaf of good bread is 2.80–3.80 PLN (up to $1).
