Slinky Dog Dash is a great ride with a popular theme (Toy Story). It's one of my favorite rides at Disney World, and I'm an adult with no particular attachment to Toy Story. It's a smooth, fun coaster that offers great views of the park.

What is this? If you can only ride Slinky Dog Dash once, I suggest skipping it while it's light out and coming back to it after dark. While there is more to see at Toy Story Land during the day, the nighttime feel is a bit more magical. It's cooler too, or (in the summertime at least) not so hot in the evening.
Slinky Dog Dash is a fun and thrilling roller coaster in Toy Story Land. Though it is far from the most thrilling ride at Hollywood Studios, it still is a great ride! There are a lot of great seats on this ride, but the best is in the back row.

As for intensity, it's something along the lines of the Magic Kingdom's Barnstormer or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train—lots of turns, dips, and hills but no loops or highspeed curves—and not nearly as rough as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. For adults, it's probably more fun than you'd expect, but not worth a very long wait.
You could even queue one minute before the park closes – the ride will accommodate anyone in line before the official closing time. So if Hollywood Studios closes at 10:00pm, just make sure you get into line a few minutes beforehand and you'll get to be one of the last guests to experience Slinky Dog Dash that night.
Slinky Dog Dash has a height restriction of 38 inches or 97 cm. The nearest restrooms are located directly across from the entrance of Alien Swirling Saucers.

Rise of the Resistance can be scary at times for kids, even ones who love Star Wars. The interactions with Kylo Ren, Stormtroopers, and the First Order can be a bit intimidating. The ride itself can also be too much for some children, since some areas of the ride are dark and there is even a drop.
In general the best days of the week to visit the Disney World parks are Tuesday and Wednesday. The reason being is many families find that you need an entire week for a Disney vacation and typically arrive on Saturday or Sunday. We find weekends and Monday to be the busiest days at Walt Disney World.
