Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is an excellent attraction for kids, provided they meet the minimum height requirement of 38 inches (97 cm). Unlike the more intense Rise of the Resistance, which can be visually overwhelming for some young children, Smugglers Run is an interactive, "video-game-like" experience that places guests directly into the cockpit of the galaxy's most famous ship. The ride assigns one of three roles: Pilot, Gunner, or Engineer. For younger children or those who might be nervous, the Engineer role is often the best choice; it involves sitting in the back row and "fixing" the ship by pressing buttons that light up, which provides a sense of participation without the pressure of steering. The movement is a flight-simulator style that can be "bumpy" depending on how well the pilots fly, but it lacks the stomach-dropping plunges of a traditional roller coaster. If your child is a fan of Star Wars or simply enjoys interactive play, they will likely find the detailed "Easter eggs" in the queue and the thrill of "punching it" into hyperspace to be the highlight of their day at Galaxy's Edge.
