Is there a dress code at Typhoon Lagoon?

Dress Code Jeans (denim) and wetsuits (neoprene) are not permitted on the following attractions at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon water park: Bay Slides, Humunga Kowabunga, Ketchakiddee Creek and Storm Slides. For safety, diaper-age children must wear plastic pants or swim diapers in pool areas.

Yes, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon maintains a family-oriented dress code to ensure safety and comfort. Swim attire must be appropriate for a family environment (no thongs or excessively revealing suits). More importantly, for the safety of the slides and the guest, swimsuits with exposed metal (buckles, rivets, or zippers) are strictly prohibited on most attractions like Humunga Kowabunga, as they can damage the slides. In 2026, jeans and neoprene wetsuits are also banned from certain high-speed slides. For children still in diapers, the use of plastic pants or swim diapers is mandatory in all pool and play areas. Guests are also required to wear shirts and shoes when entering the dining areas or gift shops. While you can wear "water shoes" on most attractions, you may be asked to hold them on your chest during certain vertical drops to prevent them from becoming "projectiles" during the splashdown.
