On a Carnival cruise, there is virtually no limit on the amount of food you can consume at the included venues like the Lido Marketplace (buffet), Guy's Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, and the Main Dining Room. You are free to order multiple appetizers, main courses, and desserts in the dining room if you wish. However, in recent years (and continuing into 2026), Carnival has introduced a small "limiter" on certain high-value items; for example, in the Main Dining Room, after the second entrée, there is often a $5.00 charge per additional entrée. This was implemented to reduce food waste and manage rising costs. While the "all-you-can-eat" spirit remains alive at the pizza stations and deli, "Specialty Dining" venues (like the Steakhouse or Bonsai Sushi) are not included and charge a flat fee or a la carte prices. Additionally, while food is plentiful, you are generally not permitted to take large plates of food off the ship at ports due to strict international agricultural and customs regulations intended to prevent the spread of pests and diseases.
