The Zermatt Peak Pass is generally considered worth the investment if you plan to visit at least two major peaks (such as the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornergrat) within a single stay. For 2026, a 3-day adult pass costs approximately CHF 230–270, depending on the season. Since a single return ticket to the Glacier Paradise can cost over CHF 100, the pass quickly pays for itself if you also utilize the Sunnegga-Rothorn cable cars, the Zermatt village buses, and the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn between Randa, Täsch, and Zermatt. It also includes free entry to the Glacier Palace and ZOOOM the Matterhorn. However, if you already hold a Swiss Travel Pass or a Half-Fare Card, you receive a 25% to 50% discount on the Peak Pass, making it an even higher value. If you only have one day and only want to see the Gornergrat, a single ticket is better; for anything more, the Peak Pass is the way to go.
