Should you bring stroller to Universal Orlando?

Top 10 Hoppin' Tips for Using a Stroller at Universal Orlando. We have generally found bringing our own stroller to be the best method. We are used to how it maneuvered and even had our go-to spot for snack storage. (Don't get me started on how long it takes to learn how to quickly collapse a new stroller!)

If bringing your own stroller is a possibility for you, we highly recommend it. And if you have an infant, bringing your own is an absolute must, as the rental strollers available on-site are quite oversized.

If you are renting a stroller – “pram” – you can leave the one you have at the station and then pick up another when you arrive at the other station. Strollers, wheelchairs, and service animals are all allowed aboard the Hogwarts Express as most people use it for transportation to and from each park.

Most of these rides allow you to safely store items that can fit in your pocket or small fanny pack that can tuck under your shirt. However, all other large items (purses, camera bags, backpacks, etc.) must go inside the ride locker.

The main reason is this is the only way to make sure you see absolutely everything that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has to offer. The other main reason we think the Hogwarts Express is worth it is that it's a convenient way to travel between the two parks and you can enjoy a different experience both ways.

Strollers larger than 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132cm) in length are not permitted. Stroller wagons are also not permitted. Strollers are not allowed on escalators. Use of strollers is permitted on elevators and ramps, available at certain locations.

For those visiting with young kids, we recommend bringing your own stroller to Disney World if you don't mind traveling with it. We toadally understand the hassle of flying with a stroller, but we find that it's worth it.

For this reason, we typically recommend you plan to bring a fanny pack, so you can skip these lockers! For guests who only have fanny packs, you must move the fanny pack around your waist (so no wearing it as a sling bag), but once it's firmly around your waist, you can hop on most rides with it.

That said, Wizarding World (like most of the rides at Universal Studios) is probably best suited for kids 7 & up. Kids who are already well-versed in all things Potter will have the best time since every nook and cranny is inspired by J.K. Rowling's sprawling imagination.
