2024 brought several massive changes to Walt Disney World designed to simplify the guest experience. The biggest shift was the return of the Disney Dining Plan, allowing guests to prepay for meals for the first time since 2020. Another major update was the removal of Park Reservation requirements for date-based tickets, meaning most guests no longer have to "book" which park they want to visit in advance. "All-Day Park Hopping" also returned, allowing guests with the proper tickets to move between parks at any time of day rather than waiting until 2:00 PM. In terms of attractions, the long-awaited Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (replacing Splash Mountain) opened in Magic Kingdom, and the "EPCOT Transformation" was finally completed with the opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. Additionally, Disney simplified the "Genie+" branding into the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system, allowing guests to once again book their ride times before they leave home, a feature that had been missing since the retirement of FastPass+ years prior.
