What are the slowest days at Universal Studios Orlando?

When is Universal Orlando Least Crowded?
  • January 2nd until just prior to Presidents' Day week (third Monday in February)
  • End of April — Mid-May.
  • Labor Day through mid-October.
  • Beginning of November through the week before Thanksgiving.
  • The week following Thanksgiving weekend until the week prior to Christmas.

To experience Universal Studios Orlando with the lowest crowds in 2026, you should target Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during specific "off-peak" windows. Based on current high-fidelity crowd calendars, the slowest periods generally occur from mid-January through early February (after the New Year's rush but before Presidents' Day), and the "High-Fidelity" shoulder season of late August through the first two weeks of September (when most local schools return to session). During these times, wait times for major attractions like Revenge of the Mummy or VelociCoaster can drop significantly compared to holiday peaks. Conversely, Mondays and Fridays tend to be busier as travelers extend their weekends. Avoid any high-fidelity holiday stretches, such as Spring Break (mid-March to April) or the busy weeks of Christmas and New Year's. For the absolute quietest experience, aim for the mid-week days in September, which remains a high-fidelity secret for savvy travelers looking to bypass the humid, crowded summer rush.

It really doesn't matter which one you start at, honestly. I tend to feel like most people head to IOA first thing in the morning, because it is a straight shot from the parking garage. I would maybe just hop around both parks on both days, and play it by the crowds. There are great attractions at both parks.
