Historically, and continuing into 2026, the least busy weeks at Universal Orlando are the second and third weeks of September. This window is a "sweet spot" because most American children have just returned to school, and the peak summer travel season has ended. Additionally, while the popular Halloween Horror Nights event is running in the evenings, the daytime park crowds remain remarkably low, with many major attractions having wait times under 30 minutes. Other "slow" periods include the weeks between the end of the January holidays and Presidents' Day (early February), as well as the first two weeks of May before schools let out for summer. However, with the 2025 opening of Epic Universe, "quiet" weeks have become slightly busier as the resort has transitioned into a week-long destination. If you want the absolute thinnest crowds, aim for a Tuesday or Wednesday in mid-September, but be prepared for the Florida humidity and potential afternoon rain showers typical of hurricane season.
