Warning! While at Lover's Beach do not attempt to wade or swim on the neighboring Pacific Ocean side, called Divorce beach, as strong and dangerous under toes are prevalent and very dangerous. Medano Beach is the safest swimming beach in Cabo San Lucas in the middle of downtown and all the major happenings.
The Palace resorts are a slight upgrade to the normal RIUs. The liquor is slightly better and the Palace tends to be larger. Stayed at RIU Guanacaste and it was stunning and quite large for not being a Palace resort. They share the same beach and it is not very large.
Chileno Beach is the most popular beach with locals for good reason. This laid-back stretch of white sand frames the lushest underwater life of the swimmable spots along the Cabo San Lucas to San Jose del Cabo corridor.
