Make sure you've got strong swimmers if you plan to do the Ohno and Ohyah drop slides. These two body slides plunge into a 10-foot-deep pool! Volcano Bay does not provide any free towels, so be sure to bring your own if you do not want to rent them (it costs $7).

Yes, but you have to pay for them ($6 as of 2023). So take your own to avoid having to rent Volcano Bay towels. Hotels don't want you to take their room towels to the water park, so I highly recommend traveling with thin linen towels. I talk more about these in my packing post.

While Universal Studios Hollywood isn't as lenient as the Disneyland Resort about bringing in outside food, you can bring water bottles (maximum 2 liters), baby food, small snacks, fruits and vegetables into the park. You can bring items required for medical purposes and special dietary needs.

For coasters, easiest thing to do is put it between your feet and put your foot through one of the arm straps. Make sure it is closed securely. Only places this may be a problem would be water rides (read as Splash Mountain and Kali). Easiest solution there is to ask a merchandise cast member for 2-3 big bags.

I have a cross body, satchel type purse that's small that I want to bring but I don't want to purchase a locker to ride.” Wear a fanny pack or use a VERY secure pocket that zips closed. The coasters are intense. A cross body bag would make it very difficult to secure the harnesses on the rides.

Some attractions, especially coasters, have a small net pocket on the back of the seat in front of you for storing your bag. Rock-n-Roller Coaster is one example of an attraction that uses this method. With this attraction, you would not be able to fit a large backpack in the net, but you could fit a small purse.
