What do you get with United Premier Plus?

Premium Plus seats are larger and in a separate cabin. When flying Premium Plus, passengers get enhanced food options, free alcoholic beverages, discounted United Club lounge access, Premier Access, additional baggage allowance and upgraded entertainment options.

As of 2026, there isn't a single status called "Premier Plus"; rather, the term often refers to the Premier PlusPoints system or the combination of Premier status with an eligible United Chase Credit Card. With this combination, Premier members (Silver, Gold, Platinum, and 1K) receive a 15% discount on flights booked with miles and "Starter PQP" deposits to help retain status. The most coveted perk is the PlusPoints system, which allows Platinum and 1K members to request upgrades from Economy to Polaris Business Class on long-haul international flights. Other standard Premier benefits include Economy Plus seating at booking (for Gold and above), free checked bags (up to 70 lbs), and "Group 1" priority boarding. In 2026, United also launched "Enhanced Polaris Saver" access for these members, making it much easier to find "cheap" mileage awards for lie-flat seats on popular routes to Europe and Asia.
