What do you need to rent a car in Madeira?

You must be at least 19 for a Madeira car rental, with a license held for at least one year. Some car categories have a higher minimum age, and a surcharge applies to drivers under 25. You will need a valid driver's license held for at least one year, plus an ID or passport.
