Wear comfy clothes and shoes and take a backpack. Wear sun-screen, take a hat (take it off during the rides), snacks or rice-balls (to munch in secret) and a light water-proof poncho (for the Jurassic Park ride).

For this reason, we typically recommend you plan to bring a fanny pack, so you can skip these lockers! For guests who only have fanny packs, you must move the fanny pack around your waist (so no wearing it as a sling bag), but once it's firmly around your waist, you can hop on most rides with it.

During all times of year, the best shoes for Universal Studios are comfortable walking shoes, and that generally means supportive sneakers with socks. You will be walking A LOT, plus you will likely be going on rides, so this really isn't the best time or place for flip-flops.

If you're tight for time during your Japan stay, you can go for the 1-day express. My friend and I did a lot in 1-day without express (8:30-20:00), but it is impossible to do all of it without express. However, the reason I recommend 2-days is because, for me personally, my time in USJ felt like a lifetime.
