A bit of rain doesn't have to dampen the fun! In fact, a quick storm usually cools down a hot day and drives away some of the crowds. There's always a silver lining in those pesky storm clouds. Finish up an indoor activity and head back outside.

You won't see princesses around the Disneyland entrance or Goofy ambling down the street in the rain. While the pre-planned character meet-and-greets will still be happening, don't plan on seeing characters just walking around. It does take away a little of the magic (probably mostly for ME!)
Slinky Dog Dash is in Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Since it's an outdoor attraction, it shuts down in heavy rain and if there's severe weather or lightning in the area. Much of the queue is exposed to the elements, and even the portion of the queue that's covered isn't enclosed. And it can get HOT.
They remain open if there is rain without lightning. Very rarely, they will close for air temperature reasons, like if the outdoor temperature won't be getting out of the 40s during the day. And of course if there are hurricane warnings, guests will be kept away from the pools.
Unfortunately, as it's written in the Terms and Conditions, tickets may not be sold. A ticket for the Disneyland Resort cannot be used at Walt Disney World Resort as these resorts are separate from one another and require their own theme park admission.
If you decide to modify your Theme Park Ticket dates, keep in mind that your Theme Park reservations are not automatically carried forward to your new dates. You will have to manually move your reservations to the new Theme Park days.
It's actually fairly unusual for Disney World tickets to be completely sold out. Even if a specific park's reservations are sold out, other parks are typically available. For example, Magic Kingdom reservations may be sold out, but Animal Kingdom may have reservations available.
Fireworks are seasonal throughout the year and typically are only shown daily during peak seasons due to the proximity of the Disneyland Resort to the neighbors/businesses in Anaheim. Epcot Forever is a temporary show, they run it while they are doing lagoon work so it's short and to the point. It runs at approximately 11 minutes or so each evening, which is perfectly quick for tired families but also may be a bit underwhelming compared to other fireworks spectaculars at Disney.
Some parks are better to visit on rainy days than others. At EPCOT, the only attraction that would close due to weather is Test Track. Most of the other rides — along with plenty of restaurants and shops — are located in Future World and are relatively close together so you wouldn't have to walk far in the rain.
