What is a GTY room on Disney Cruise?

At times we may offer you the option of making a 'Guarantee' (GTY) booking. This means you may book a stateroom of a guaranteed category type (Interior, Oceanview, Balcony or Suite) on your chosen ship and cruise.

Guaranteed staterooms ensure you'll be assigned at the level you booked or higher, which means, in some cases, you may even be given a room above what you booked. Upgrades depend upon availability, but you'll never be assigned a room below what you've reserved.

Booking a Guaranteed cabin means you are booking a cabin without a specific allocation. So instead of requesting and being assigned a specific cabin on a specific deck you are booking a Guaranteed cabin category. So, 'Guaranteed Inside' means you will be guaranteed an inside cabin, somewhere on the ship.

A guarantee cabin can be in any location on any deck, but it is guaranteed to be in the cabin category you have purchased with the possibility of an upgrade. Your stateroom is typically assigned one week prior to sailing, but can be assigned as late as the day you board.
