What is Nurses Day at Disneyland?

Event History Disney Nurses Day was created in 2022 as a day for medical professionals to enjoy after 2 years of working in a pandemic! The first event was held on April 28, 2022 and over 600 nurses attended! This yearly event is a celebration of all the hard-working nurses out there!

Nurses Day at the Park is an unofficial, community-organized event that celebrates healthcare professionals with a day of fun at the Disneyland Resort. In 2026, the main event is scheduled for April 29, with an "Expo" held the day prior at a nearby hotel. While not an official Disney-run holiday, the organizers coordinate group photos, "ride takeovers" where hundreds of nurses board an attraction together, and social mixers. Attendees can often access specially priced room blocks at Disney hotels and "Good Neighbor" properties through the event website. It has grown significantly since its inception in 2022, now drawing nearly 2,000 nurses annually. It is a day for friends, family, and colleagues to decompress and celebrate their hard work. While any guest can be in the park that day, those registered for the event receive specific itineraries and giveaway opportunities. It is a vibrant, high-energy day characterized by many guests wearing custom nursing-themed Disney apparel.
