What is replacing terminator at Universal Studios Orlando?

Two years later, Universal Orlando announced that a new Jason Bourne-themed show named The Bourne Stuntacular would replace that park's version of the Terminator show. This attraction premiered on June 30, 2020. The version in Osaka was temporarily closed on September 14, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The space formerly occupied by the "Terminator 2: 3-D" attraction at Universal Studios Florida has been replaced by The Bourne Stuntacular, which officially opened in mid-2020 and remains a flagship show in 2026. This cutting-edge stunt show is based on the Jason Bourne film franchise and represents a massive leap in theme park entertainment technology. It blends live-action stunts, high-tech props, and a massive 3,600-square-foot LED screen to create a seamless "mixed reality" experience where the actors appear to move effortlessly between the physical stage and the digital environments. The show features a high level of technical sophistication, including automated moving sets and "weather effects" that make the audience feel the wind and heat of the action. While the Terminator attraction was a beloved classic for its 90s-era 3D effects and live actors, The Bourne Stuntacular has been widely praised for its high production value and the way it successfully modernizes the "stunt show" concept for a 2026 audience that expects more immersion and visual fidelity than the old 3D film format could provide.
