Disney's BoardWalk Resort is split into two distinct sections that share the same theme, lobby, and amenities, but offer very different room types: the BoardWalk Inn and the BoardWalk Villas. The BoardWalk Inn is a standard Deluxe Hotel, featuring traditional hotel rooms with two queen beds (or one king) and a daybed, comfortably sleeping up to five guests. These rooms are designed for shorter stays and lack kitchen facilities, though they do include a mini-fridge. On the other hand, the BoardWalk Villas are part of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC), though they can be booked by any guest. These range from "Deluxe Studios" (which have a kitchenette) to one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas that feature full kitchens, washers and dryers, and separate living areas. The Villas are ideal for larger families or those planning longer stays who want the "home-away-from-home" convenience. While the Inn side tends to feel more like a classic boutique hotel, the Villa side occupies the larger portion of the property and offers more varied "views," including the highly sought-after (but noisier) "Boardwalk View" overlooking the shops and Crescent Lake. Both share the iconic Luna Park Pool and its wooden-coaster-themed water slide, making the choice a matter of "room utility" versus "traditional hotel service."
