The most famous waterfall in Canada is Niagara Falls, specifically the Horseshoe Falls (also known as the Canadian Falls). It is the largest of the three waterfalls that make up the Niagara Falls group, straddling the border between Ontario, Canada, and New York, USA. Standing at 51 meters (167 feet) tall, it is renowned for its incredible volume, with approximately 168,000 cubic meters of water flowing over the crest every minute. While Niagara is the most famous, Canada is home to many other spectacular falls, such as Takakkaw Falls in British Columbia (the second tallest at 373m) and Montmorency Falls in Quebec, which is actually 30 meters taller than Niagara Falls but lacks its massive, iconic horizontal width.
