What is the least crowded day at Universal Studios?

As you can guess if Saturday and Monday tend to be the busiest, Tuesday tends to be the best day to visit Universal Studios Orlando. We also find Thursday to be one of the least busy days of the week at Universal Studios, with Sunday being a great weekend option.

In 2026, the least crowded days to visit Universal Studios (both Orlando and Hollywood) are typically Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the "shoulder" seasons. For Universal Orlando, the lightest crowds generally occur in late January, early February, and the weeks immediately following Labor Day in September. Conversely, with the massive success of the recently opened Epic Universe, even "off-peak" days can feel busy due to spillover crowds. At Universal Studios Hollywood, mid-week visits in May (before Memorial Day) and the first half of December are often the most tranquil. To avoid the heaviest congestion, travelers should strictly avoid Saturdays, holiday weekends, and spring break weeks in late March. A "pro-tip" for 2026 is to utilize the first 90 minutes after the park opens, often called "rope dropping," as wait times for marquee attractions like Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure or the new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift are significantly lower than the midday peaks.
