In 2026, the "new" Park Hopper rule refers to the restoration of all-day flexibility at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Since early 2024, guests with a Park Hopper ticket or an Annual Pass have been able to "hop" to a second park at any time during park hours, effectively ending the restrictive "after 2:00 PM" (Florida) or "after 11:00 AM" (California) rules of the post-pandemic era. For most visitors, this means you can start your morning in Magic Kingdom and hop to EPCOT for lunch at 10:30 AM if you wish. However, the catch remains that Annual Passholders and those with "non-dated" tickets must still make a reservation and physically scan into their first park before they can hop to a second. Additionally, "Good-to-Go days" have been introduced for Passholders, allowing them to visit without a reservation on select dates. This return to pre-2020 flexibility has significantly improved the value of the Park Hopper add-on, allowing for more spontaneous itineraries and better use of Lightning Lane selections across multiple parks.
