Park storyAccording to Disney legend, a freak snowstorm on January 11, 1977, in the area led to the development of Florida's first ski resort. Ski lifts were put up, toboggan runs were laid down and an entire resort area blossomed around the mountain of snow.

The deepest body of water in the park is 8 1/2 feet deep at the T-Bar in Ski Patrol, and is only for children 60” and under. The water isn't only over your child's head, but it's over your head too.
Disney's Blizzard Beach is a water park with a ski resort theme. This park was meant to be a ski resort, but because of the Florida heat, there was no way to keep the snow from melting, so it was reworked into a waterpark.

Summit Plummet is the flagship attraction at 120 feet (36.6 m) tall, and speeds 60 miles per hour (97 km/h). It's the third-tallest and fastest free-fall slide in the world. There is a minimum height requirement of 48 in (122 cm). Summit Plummet is one of the highest and fastest water slides on Earth.
You'll also find lazy rivers at both water parks, Cross Country Creek at Blizzard Beach and Castaway Creek at Typhoon Lagoon. From what I could find, it looks like Blizzard Beach's lazy river is about 2-3 feet deep and Typhoon Lagoon's about 3-4 feet deep.
This particular water slide is on the cruise ship called Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas and more than 800 feet long. Ojeda posted a point-of-view video of the slide and showed how long it is. It is called the Blaster, Navigator of the Seas.
The duration of this roller coaster is 3 ½ minutes. Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain® is considered a thrill ride and reaches speeds up to 50 mph; we would categorize it somewhere between Big Thunder Mountain Railroad® Attraction and Rock 'n Roller Coaster® Starring Aerosmith.
If you have a child between the ages of 5-12, Blizzard Beach is by far the winner in my book. BB's Ski Patrol Training Camp has experiences aimed specifically at the elementary school set that Typhoon Lagoon can't match.
Castaway Creek is the lazy river at Typhoon Lagoon. It's a 21.5 (roughly) minute float that takes you around the Surf Pool, with entries at major spots throughout the park. It's not a particularly well-themed or interesting lazy river, but the plants and greenery throughout are quite nice.
