Kings Island, located in Mason, Ohio, is most famous for holding the world record for the longest wooden roller coaster with its legendary ride, The Beast. Since opening in 1979, The Beast has maintained this title, featuring a staggering 7,361 feet (2,243 meters) of track that sprawls across 35 acres of densely wooded terrain. The ride lasts more than four minutes and includes two massive lift hills and a 540-degree tunneled helix. In addition to this standing record, Kings Island has historically held records for the "most wooden coaster track in a single park." The park is also home to Banshee, which at its opening held the record for the world's longest inverted roller coaster at 4,124 feet. While other records come and go with new engineering marvels, The Beast remains a permanent fixture in the Guinness World Records, continuing to offer a unique, rugged experience that modern steel coasters cannot replicate in terms of sheer length and natural integration into the landscape.
