Aladdin and Jasmine Meet-and-Greet: Jasmine and Aladdin also pose for pictures and sign autographs near Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot.
Unfortunately, to the dismay of many fans, Disney announced that it would be ending Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular and the show took its final bow in January 2016. The show was replaced by Frozen – Live at the Hyperion, which premiered in May 2016.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open October 16, 2023 within World Nature—the EPCOT neighborhood dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world.
Princess Jasmine has returned indoors to her Lamps of Wonder meet-and-greet location as physical distancing is lifted for characters around Walt Disney World. Lamps of Wonder is in the Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT.
So EPCOT will be introducing both a new attraction and a new character meet and greet on that day. Moana will have her own dedicated space for the meet and greet, too — and we got to see some concept art of what it will look like.
Royal Sommerhus is a character-greeting venue for Anna and Elsa. While Frozen was set in a fictional kingdom instead of Norway, we grudgingly concede that the meet and greet features traditional Norwegian architecture and crafts. Having visited Norway, we think Disney did a decent job when it comes to authenticity.
Pocahontas at Discovery Island Trails is a character meet-and-greet located in Discovery Island® Land at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Guests may remain in their wheelchair/ECV.
If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park. Featured image courtesy of Walt Disney World.
EPCOT is arguably the least family-friendly park at Walt Disney World, so you may not need more than a few hours to do everything of interest if you have small children. With that said, a full day at EPCOT is highly recommended for first-timers.
