What side do fireworks go off on Disney cruise?

Fireworks are launched from the starboard side of the ship (weather permitting). I like to snag a spot on the starboard side of Deck 10 of the Disney Magic about 15 minutes before the deck party is set to begin for an excellent view of the dazzling display.

On almost all Disney Cruise Line ships, the "Pirates in the Caribbean" fireworks are launched from the starboard side (the right side of the ship when facing the front). This has been a consistent operational standard across the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy. However, on the newer "Triton-class" ships like the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, the viewing experience is more centralized around the mid-ship funnel, though the pyrotechnics still primarily originate from the starboard side. For the best "secret" view without the heavy crowds of the upper pool decks, guests on the Dream or Fantasy often head to the aft starboard patio of the Meridian Lounge (Deck 12). If you have a starboard-facing verandah stateroom, you can often enjoy the show from the privacy of your own balcony, though the music and "show" audio are best experienced on the open decks where the "Pirate Night" party takes place.

No matter if it's the best deck on Disney Wish, or any other deck on a ship in the DCL fleet, the best deck to stay on is two decks below any of the restaurants. This is typically decks 8 and 9 on most of the ships.

The best place we can suggest is to check out the ship's bars after midnight. Here you'll find people that like to let loose and have a good time (but that doesn't necessarily mean they want to hook up). But just like on land, if you're looking for love, a late-night bar is the right place to look.
