What side do you tap your Leap card?

On Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, touch the card against the Leap Card Validator on the right-hand side as you enter the bus. On Luas (tram), Touch On at a Validator on the platform before you get on the tram and Touch Off when you get off the tram.

Open the Leap Top-Up app & hold your TFI Leap Card against the back of your device. Your balance and/or ticket type information will be displayed. On iPhone you will need to open the scanner in order for the app to read your card.

When travelling by rail with your TFI Leap Card, touch your card on and off the Validator / Gate when entering and exiting the station or platform. Note: A default fare is deducted from your Travel Credit when you Touch-On. When you Touch-Off the appropriate amount is refunded to your card.
