What way do you scan a Leap Card?

Open the Leap Top-Up app & hold your TFI Leap Card against the back of your device. Your balance and/or ticket type information will be displayed. On iPhone you will need to open the scanner in order for the app to read your card.

On Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, touch the card against the Leap Card Validator on the right-hand side as you enter the bus. On Luas (tram), Touch On at a Validator on the platform before you get on the tram and Touch Off when you get off the tram.

You must touch on every time you board a service to demonstrate you hold a valid ticket for each journey: touch on before each bus journey; and. touch on before and touch off after each DART, train and tram journey.
