What things can you not bring into Disneyland?

Items not permitted include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Pets – Only service animals are permitted.
  • Wagons.
  • Skateboards.
  • Scooters (motorized and non-motorized)
  • Drones.
  • Mylar balloons made from shiny, foil-like plastic.
  • Remote control toys.
  • Inline skates.

A: Guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, provided they are not in glass containers, do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors.

We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations! You can absolutely bring a water bottle with you into the Walt Disney World theme parks, including Magic Kingdom. The water bottle cannot be glass, but others are absolutely fine.

All Walt Disney World theme parks, and Disney Springs, have metal detectors for guests to walk through. If a guest's bag sets off the metal detector, they are asked to step to the side for a bag search performed by a security team member.

You Can Bring a Backpack to Disney Parks With the exception of a couple attractions, every ride at Disney will have a small pouch for you to stow your backpack, or space at your feet. Your trusty bag can take on all the adventures Disney has to offer with you!

Whenever you're thirsty, stop by one of our many water fountains—located throughout the Resort, including outside of most restrooms. If you wish to use disposable cups at drinking fountains, feel free to request them from the nearest restaurant or snack shop at no extra charge.

You'll be happy to know that CamelBak water packs are permitted in Disney Parks. If you need to refill your pack, complimentary cups of ice water are available at quick-service dining locations, and at stands or carts that sell fountain drinks. Just ask! You'll also notice a few water bottle filling stations.

The dress code at Disney is extremely strict. This includes any masks, headdresses, wigs, and all clothing. Additionally, they must stay in character whenever they are in a public section of the park. They may not use any personal item, such as cell phones, while in character and must maintain perfect posture.

Please note that while you may be able to bring your vape through security, smoking is prohibited on Disneyland Resort Property. This includes both parks, the Esplanade between the parks, as well as the Downtown Disney District and Hotel. If you need to take a break, you will have to travel off-property to smoke.

  • The day after President's Day (February) until Spring Break (mid-March)
