What time can I make my first lightning lane?

For individual Lightning Lane purchases, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and other select hotels* may make their first purchase starting at 7:00 am on the day of their visit. All other Guests can make their first purchase during normal park opening hours. Pricing and availability vary by date, attraction and park.



In 2026, under the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system, the timing for your first selection depends on where you are staying. If you are a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, a Disney World Swan or Dolphin hotel, or Shades of Green, you can begin making your first three Lightning Lane selections 7 days in advance of your check-in date, starting at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. This "early window" allows you to book for your entire length of stay (up to 14 days). For all other guests (those staying off-property), the booking window opens 3 days in advance of their first park day, also starting at 7:00 AM. Once you are physically inside the park and have used your first selection (or if the "return window" has passed), you can then use the app to book your next available Lightning Lane throughout the day. This "pre-arrival" system was designed to reduce the stress of the previous "same-day" booking models, allowing families to have their primary attractions secured well before they ever leave their home or hotel room.
