The City of Wilmington offers tips for parking downtown. Parking at the meters on weekends and holidays are free. There is parking available through many parking garages and lots throughout downtown. The Wilmington Parking Authority has two close lots: the 10th Street Garage or the 8th Street Lot.
Parking spots are numbered, and there is a pay station that accepts debit and credit cards only (no cash). You can also pay online through ParkMobile. Parking is free and open to the public after 5pm on weekdays and throughout the weekend.
Historic Park City is FREE. Swede Alley lots, covered levels of China Bridge and the upper level of Gateway garage are the closest free parking areas to Main Street (4-hour limits). Free daily parking is available on all uncovered levels of the China Bridge Garage until 3:00 a.m. (no parking from 3 a.m.-7a.
Parking InformationThis parking garage is conveniently located right next to the venue on 5th Street, between Market & King. Many restaurants (and the Delaware History Museum) are within walking distance. The garage has an attendant on duty during hours of operation.
The first two hours of parking are free with a valid parking receipt being displayed on the dash. Unless a valid 2 hour free parking receipt is displayed, paid parking at $5.00 per hour will be enforced.
Wrightsville Beach Park Parking Lot, Town Hall Parking Lot, Visitors Center, and Museum Lots will require a pay station receipt in order to park in these areas from March 1st to October 31st between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.
Meters are located in the central business district, the medical district and along University Street near TCU. Meters in these areas are operational from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and are free after 6 p.m. and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
